I called in Wicklen Ltd to give me some advice and a quote on what looked to be a drain-related problem. Keith spoke to me on the phone and took lots of preliminary details. He told me to prepare for a camera survey, but on arrival he knew from just viewing the issue what was needed, so I saved the survey fee straight away. He talked me through the solution and gave me a quote for replacement section of the drain/removal of saturated soil etc. A few weeks later Keith and his sons turned up to begin work. They couldn't have been more polite or helpful. I then went away for a couple of day's holiday and it was all done when I came back. Excellent company and I highly recommend.

Keith and Harvey have been out today to do a camera survey on our blocked outside drain that was causing damp. They located the problem and fixed it straight away. Last year, they improved our rain drainage system at the front of the house as the water wasn’t able to clear away quickly enough during heavy rain and causing flooding. The new drainage system that they installed is very effective even in heavy rain so we no longer need to worry about flooding!

I noticed our rainwater drained straight into a hole in the ground and had the experts in to make it good. Harvey and Dan did the CCTV survey on all drainage pipes, talked me through their findings and we agreed to install two gulleys, replace a section of broken pipe and power flush the rainwater drains. They did a very thorough job, carefully replacing our driveway paving blocks and setting the gulleys in concrete, removing all rubble and sweeping worked-on areas at the end. We ended up also installing a linear gulley behind the garage and replacing an additional bit of pipe. Will be calling them again for any drainage works. They are knowledgeable, careful, considerate, polite people who take pride in a job well done at a fair price.

A very complex project delivered on time and to a high standard. Planning was critical which included liason with a number of suppliers of materials, plant and equipment. The team were very courteous throughout and caused minimum disruption considering the nature of the work, which was to replace an old Septic Tank with a new Sewage Treatment Plant and replace all of the old rainwater drainage to a new Pumping Station.

1st job was to modify the existing drainage system from my house which was completed successfully. 2nd job was to install a new drainage system from my drive to the general drain outlet which had to be rerouted due to a large drain from the road crossing my land which took longer than they had planned but it was also completed successfully. 3rd job was to replace the existing sewer manhole lid which was ill-fitting also completed successfully I am satisfied with the work done as the 2/3 workers did well in extremely trying conditions, weatherwise. My drain, which takes water from the roof and bathroom, was overflowing into the neighbours' garden. Unsure how to proceed I looked at the Which Traders site and selected Wicklen Ltd. Arrangements were made for an inspection visit confirmed by phone first. An initial unblocking attempt showed that a more severe problem existed and an arrangement for extra work was started a day or so later. Some underground pipework was necessary to be replaced, it also included a new drain unit. All was completed the same day including the replacement of brick paving. It was hardly noticeable that work had been carried out, all was tidied up. The job cost rather more than I was expecting but I had no previous experience of such work and its probable costs and at every stage I was notified of the procedure to be undertaken and the costs so I put it down to be a one off job. I would not hesitate to ask them to do future work if I had another drainage problem.

Initially contacted Wicklen to check for suspected problem with bathroom drain. Nothing serious found. Also to look at problem of tree roots which were completely blocking a surface water drain. Harvey explained the need to install a new pipe & gully which involved digging up a section of our drive and also to create a new soakaway in a nearby flower bed. This work was carried out very efficiently with a minimum of mess & no damage to our shrubs or flowers. Keith and Harvey dug out blocked drain and rerouted it. The drain had washed away brick work so they rebuilt that as well. Is your work guaranteed?
Yes, all of our installation works and repair works are guaranteed for 12 months.
How quick can you get to me?
In an emergency situation, we aim to be with you within 90 Minutes.
Are you the cheapest?
For CCTV surveying, unblocking and high pressure jetting works yes we are but for all else, probably not. You may find cheaper quotes elsewhere, but Wicklen LTD prides itself on its quality and attention to detail.
That’s how we know when it comes to drains, our finished work and complete service is the best out there. Looking to save money by having any works carried out incorrectly and to a poor standard, in the long term will cost you more.
How long will I have to wait for my paperwork?
Usually, all paperwork will be with you within 7-10 days but when it is required sooner, for example, Severn Trent, a landlord or a building society, special arrangements can always be arranged to have the report back to you within 24 hours.
Can you deal with my insurance/ their appointed loss adjuster?
Yes, we have been dealing with insurance companies for over 30 years; we can start the ball rolling and then liaise and keep your insurance in the loop throughout the process. In nearly all cases Wicklen LTD has been the preferred company to use and deal with compared to the insurance company’s appointed Drainage Company.
Can you provide any references to confirm your high standards?

How many years experience does your firm have?
